A partnership policy.

In the context of an increasingly dynamic international university environment, “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu remains at the forefront of events adhering to European values of education and research. In this regard, an essential role is played by more than 100 partnerships with universities in Europe, streamlining the application of the Bologna system and the European system of transferable credits and the development of the student mobility program – Erasmus.

To these are added the participation of ULBS in international Associations and management bodies with a role in the development of European education, in strengthening democracy and intensifying academic cooperation in Europe, such as would be: Tübingen International Center, Alliance for Democracy a Universities, the Association of European University Leaders or the Association European University.

Valuable scientific research

Knowledge refers to the decipherment of the mysteries of the world, and education comes offers the power to change the world. This is the main element in educatin students, our way of showing them the way to the world of science and to prepare them for the job market.

The investments made by ULBS in scientific research, the European funds attracted in the last years are intended to develop an educational environment that creates excellent conditions for professional development and can provide professional support to the business environment, supporting the community and social development.

The quality of the scientific research practiced in the research centers of ULBS was certified by CNCSIS by its accreditation.

An innovative university

“Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu has established itself in terms of higher education in Romania as an innovative institution both in the field of university management, study programs and international cooperation.

Thus, the involvement of the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu by the National Council of Scientific Research in Higher Education (CNCSIS) in the project to improve university management in Romania, brought it recognition as a Center of Excellence in the field of university management.

At the imposition of the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu as a top management organization contributed its innovative spirit and openness to international values. Thus, the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu dared to give a different scientific approach to health education, relating to international curricula in the field of nursing, and developed in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire, Preston Sea United Kingdom Nursing Development Center in Romania. Out of the same desire to support the community and respond promptly to a social need, ULBS a established the first and only specialization in Romania that trains specialists in the field of community / local police.

As a result of the promoted international cooperation policy, ULBS and the International Relations Bureau for the Study of Chinese Language HANBAN signed in 2006, the cooperation agreement for the establishment of the first Confucius Institute in Romania. And in the academic year 2008 – 2009 ULBS received the first students from the countries to study South East Asia come to Romania through the Erasmus Mundus program.
